What is a care home?+
A care home is a residential setting for adults who benefit from support with everyday routines while living in a comfortable home environment. At Ricky’s Place, support may include help with dressing, bathing, grooming, meals, housekeeping, laundry, mobility, toileting and medication reminders, based on each resident’s needs.
When should a family consider residential care?+
Families often begin exploring residential care when everyday tasks become harder to manage safely or consistently. Common concerns include difficulty with personal care or housekeeping, missed meals, medication-reminder needs, isolation, mobility changes, transportation challenges, memory changes or caregiver exhaustion.
How do I pay for care at Ricky’s Place?+
Ricky’s Place is private pay. We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance as payment for residency. Fees depend on the room and the resident’s level of day-to-day support. Contact us for current availability, pricing and the assessment process.
Do you offer short-term respite stays?+
Yes. Respite care gives family caregivers a temporary break while their loved one stays in a supportive residential setting. Short-term stays can also be useful during transitions or when a family needs additional support for a limited period.
What support is available for residents with additional structure and routine?+
We provide a calm, consistent environment with familiar routines, personal attention, daily engagement and support with everyday activities. Families should discuss a resident’s specific needs with us so we can determine whether Ricky’s Place is an appropriate setting.
